Lana Moriarity will speak on: The UN Convention (2008) on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in New Zealand
Lana will present the main findings from research conducted in 2008 with key informants in the disability sector on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in New Zealand. She examined how the Convention would help persons with disabilities, and disability advocates. Also examined were some of the benefits and challenges of disability advocates and Government working together in partnership.
