Social Science Capability Building Award
The Social Science Capability Building Award funds innovative workshops, seminars and speakers that address the needs of professional social scientists, research students, policy practitioners, and/or social policy agencies. This award is focused on skills-building to increase social science capability by linking New Zealanders with national and international experts on relevant social policy topics and methodologies.
The desired outcome of this award is to link researchers, evaluators and policymakers to capacity and capability building opportunities for the social policy research and evaluation and policy sector.
Quality proposals should attempt to identify the knowledge/skills area gap, support cross-agency and cross-disciplinary collaboration, and connect research and evaluation to policy where possible.
A maximum of $10,000 per award is available. Awards will be allocated for no more than 12 months. This does not exclude applicants from being able to apply for future funding.
