What is in the Good Practice Guidelines?
SPEaR’s Good Practice Guidelines are not “one size fits all”. They are grounded in generic principles and, through experience and with extensive consultation, have been applied to specific areas. They aim to:
- provide real world guidance
- act as the basis for practical training
- address cross-agency and cross-disciplinary needs
- provide examples and suggest further reading and places/people for more detailed advice.
The specific areas are:
- Research Principles
- Contracting
- Ethics
- Research and Evaluation involving Maori
- Research and Evaluation involving Pacific peoples
The material will continue to be updated and new areas added. You can submit comments, provide examples and ask questions at info@spear.govt.nz.
