Brenda Ratcliff has been appointed Director, Office for the Community and Voluntary Sector at the Ministry of Social Development. She is currently Director, Strategic Policy at Barnardos NZ, where she manages the strategic policy team and the Family Advocacy Information and Resource Centre. She takes up her new position on 1 July.
Professor Peter Davis, currently Professor of Public Health at the Christchurch School of Medicine, takes up a new position at the University of Auckland this month as Professor (with specialisation in health) and Head of Department, Sociology. Peter was the driving force behind last year's Linkages-funded seminar on saving and sharing publicly funded social research data.
