Statistics reports published

Statistics New Zealand has recently published the report New Zealand Family and Household Projections, 2001(base)-2021, which details the methodology and results of the 2001-base national family and household projections.

The projections provide an indication of the likely future numbers of families and households in New Zealand. Statistics NZ has also begun developing the 2001-base sub-national family and household projections, which are due for release on 27 August 2004.

The Ministry of Social Development has also just published its Statistical Report for the year ending June 2003. The report shows that the number of core benefit recipients has fallen since 1999, while the number of registered job seekers has fallen since 2000.
