Accan conference
The 10th Australasian Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect, held in Wellington in February and hosted by the Ministry of Social Development, the Department of Child, Youth and Family Services and the Children's Commissioner, featured an exciting range of presentations from international, New Zealand and Pacific speakers.
Key themes included the discipline and guidance of children, child abuse in the context of family violence, the research and practice connection, and children's voices. A range of papers presented at the conference will be published in the forthcoming issue of the Social Policy Journal of New Zealand.
